About
Jason Purdy is a true mobile technology enthusiast. Dating back to his use of an Apple Newton at a young age, Jason always knew that he wanted to build mobile applications. After majoring in Computer Science at University of California at Santa Barbara, Jason joined Digital Chocolate, a mobile games publisher that has continually been a top mobile games distributor.
Next Jason helped to start up 3jam, a reply-to-all text messaging service, where he managed the development of their mobile website and mobile clients. Jason is now the Mobile Program Manager at the Associated Press, where he manages budgets and roadmaps, in addition to being involved in strategy discussions and detailing product requirements.
Jason continues to track every device hes used as his daily drive, or his day-to-day mobile device. After almost 20 years, and over 100 mobile devices, Jason continues to be driven by the ever-changing mobile technology industry. Continuing his technical education, Jason develops his own applications on the weekends, including PBRmeASAP and Marquee News, which can be found in the App Store now. In addition, Jason frequently writes blog posts and articles for the industry on new devices, technologies and trends.
When he’s not coding or writing, you’ll find Jason watching the English Premier League games and supporting his beloved Arsenal.
